Ankit,

I think I figured it out, I enabled the content plugin and then I attempted to enable the system plugin but I think it just killed my site, now I only get this error -

Fatal error: Call to a member function isAdmin() on a non-object in D:\Hosting\7942280\html\joomla\plugins\system\frontendeditor\frontendeditor.php on line 62

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Ankit,

I was looking for more enhanced front end editor for some of my clients and this looks to be the ticket.

However, I just installed the extension and applied the hack but it did not seem to work. When I login to the front end and attempt to edit an article the default Joomla editor still appears.

I'm not seeing any errors and I am trying to use it with an artisteer template if that is of any help.

Appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi,

I'm loving this extension and have it working (almost) perfectly for my requirements. The only thing I would like to do is restrict the available tabs for front end editors to just the Custom Output, so they are simply able to edit using the wysiwyg editor.
Is this possible?

Hi,

I've managed to install the front end editor although using the pop up function changes are not visible after I save it.
Do you have any idea to solve the problem I've tried to test it on joomla! 1.5 template is rhuk_milkyway.
This btw is what I'm challenged with http://www.youtube.com/watc... so I'll have to do the fixes trying to make your editor work better than this somehow ;)

Any tip or advice/help is greatly appreciated.

I have added to my local config file the remote for live site by - git remote add live ssh://username@domain.com/p.... In my case, the 'path-to-rainbow' looks something like '/home/madhavi/mydomain.com'. Yes, the directory is named "mydomain.com"

When I try to 'git push live master', I get an error - 'fatal: bad config file line 12 in .git/config'. Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

Hi!
I have several Joomla sites, and this tool looks perfect! I have tried to install it on one of my Beta sites, but can not get it to work. I can see the turn off/on button in the right top corner, but there are no edit buttons / I can not edit any of the modules on the front page. I have enabeled the plugins. Does anyone have any idea why this does not work?

I have enabled front end editor on my site.It works fine for editing modules but not articles.I have enabled it for one more site on same server and it works fine for both modules and articles,but not for this one.Could you please help me with this as I have to make my site live.Thanks in advance

Hi Ankit, I've installed this with my Rockettheme template however only the 'edit menu names' are working. I cannot seem to view a button to edit my modules in the frontend or drag them around the page.

Are you providing any paid or other support to get this to work? Any help from any other users is greatly appreciated.

Hey, I got the solution and it's working now, at least for me.

For those using 1.5.23 and can't find the edit icons for contents editing:

1. FTP to your server
2. Go to plugins/systems/frontendeditor/js
3. Rename mootools-core.js to mootools-core.js.BAK

This will disable this version of mootools since Joomla 1.5.23 have the mootools version 1.2.4.
Loading 2 different version of mootools is not going to help :)

Same as others, don't have edit icon close to the articles. Can't be something with the template because been trying with every single default templates from Joomla. That's a broken module and there's no one who can help.

Hi, I love this extension, but can´t use it with Yootheme Air template because the index.php have not jdoc statements. My priority is the front end module editing feature, but have no idea how to make it work. Any ideas?

Hello Ankit,

I am using TwitKut for months.. It's really gr8 app u developed.. But if i remove twitkut from my application list, and add it again.. It doesn't go through all OAuth authentication again.. Why this is so..
Also when u click on update button without entering any text, it gives you error.. But thats not a big deal I guess.. But the first part is like horrible.. It seams like application is storing some private things.. like username and passwords even though removes it.. !!!

And I am also developing same application using oauth and opensocial, whenever I make makerequest() call, with proper settings of OAuth parameters, it doesn't take me to authentication page instead it returns the response as undefined.. Do you have any idea regarding this? If so please do reply me as soon as you can..

Found the answer to modules not being editable. (Or at least for me).
The hack for modules hadn't been applied during the installation process so manually editing the index.php and adding in the:

etc. Seemed to solve the problem

However I can't get it to edit modules either. Article editing is fine, but modules don't show the editing icon.

I have no change at all on my website after installing the all package and login in front end as admin.

I installed it easily. The hack change the index.php as expected.

There must be a problem in my template (made myself)

I am having the same slight problem that a few others appear to be having. The edit icon next to the articles is only appearing on my front page articles. On the other pages, there is no icon/ability to edit the articles.

same problem here, the modules don`t have an edit icon. I want a mod_custom html to be edited in the front end, but the icon only appears on the articles yet i enabled editing modules frm frontend in the component..

any ideas why this wont work? am using mootools 1.2

Just an update. I reinstalled the extension. I can see the edit toggle on/off but I don't see any edit button at all.

Module editing still doesn't work on www.r-o-p-e-soffice.com

Is there something wrong with the edit icon itself? JCE? (thebuffalogroup).
